“True Cost of Fashion” Presentation
Immaculata University is offering a presentation on the “True Cost of Fashion” featuring a movie screening and a panel discussion regarding who pays for our clothing? The event will be held Thursday, October 8, at 6:00 p.m.in Loyola Hall 127 and is free and open to the public.
The panelists for the discussion include:
• Stephen Miles, Ph.D., chair of the IU Theology Department. Dr. Miles has published articles and given academic and professional presentations on teaching Catholic social tradition in Catholic universities and on service learning in business school curriculum.
• Kimberly Gleason-Hink, founder of Element Six. Gleason-Hink’s Element Six is a clothing boutique dedicated to selling products made using the highest standards of economic, environmental and social responsibility.
• Sister Judith Parsons, IHM, Ph.D., associate professor of Philosophy at IU. Sister Judith enjoys exploring with her students the relationship between philosophy, “the love of wisdom,” – and the life.
