The Immaculata Wind Ensemble and the West Chester Band Join to Perform Spring Concert

On Sunday, April 29, the Immaculata University´s Wind Ensemble and the West Chester Band join together to perform a Spring Concert, "Band Kaleidoscope II." The concert begins at 3:00 p.m., in Alumnae Hall Theater on the campus of Immaculata University.
Dr. Victor Vallo, musical director of the Immaculata University Wind Ensemble and chair of the music department at Immaculata, will join with Joseph Gehring, musical director of the West Chester Concert Band. Dr. Vallo comments that "both bands look forward to this new and innovative musical collaboration of both ensembles which will enhance the musical performance."
The program includes Zampa Overture, Band of Brothers, Variations on a Korean Folk Song, Raise of the Son, My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice from "Samson and Delilah," Concerto No. 2 in Bb-major, Whip and Spur, Richard Rodgers: A Symphonic Portrait, Vilya from "The Merry Widow," Sedona, Pictures at an Exhibition, and Stars and Stripes Forever. Two Immaculata University students, Tracy Pautz and Katie Romano will sing soprano, and Carina Cavoto will play the piano.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
