The Immaculata Wind Ensemble and The Immaculata Jazz Ensemble to Perform Joint Concert

On Wednesday, November 16, at 8:00 p.m., the Immaculata Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Victor Vallo, and the Immaculata Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jason O´Mara, will perform a joint concert called Band Kaleidoscope. The concert will be held in Memorial Hall and is free and open to the public.
The Wind Ensemble´s program will feature Fanfare and Flourishes for a Festive Occasion by James Curnow; Water Music by George Frideric Handel, arranged by Longfield; Ave Verum Corpus by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with soprano Tracy Pautz, an Immaculata junior from Easton, PA; and Light Cavalry Overture by Franz von Suppé. The Wind Ensemble will conclude the concert with Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian, with Ralph Sorrentino on xylophone; For Unto You Is Born This Day by James Hosay, with Immaculata´s vice president for Academic Affairs, Sister Carroll Isselmann, as narrator; The Patriot by John Williams, arranged by Moss; and Russian Sailor´s Dance by Reinhold Gliere.
The program for the Jazz Ensemble includes Sidewinder by Lee Morgan, arranged by John Berry; Everyday (I Have the Blues) by Peter Chatman, arranged by Roger Holmes; A Night in Tunisia by John "Dizzy" Gillespie and Frank Paparelli, arranged by Michael Sweeney; and It Don´t Mean a Thing" by Duke Ellington and Irving Mills.
