Student Receives Family and Consumer Science Scholarship
Immaculata University student Nicole Caromano ’16 of Collegeville, PA, was selected for the Pennsylvania Family and Consumer Science (PAFCS) 2015 Undergraduate Scholarship. Caromano is a Family and Consumer Science major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. She is also co-president of the Immaculata Family Consumer Science Club.
Upon formally receiving notification of the Scholarship from the PAFCS, representatives stated that, Caromano “was a perfect example of commitment to family and consumer sciences showing support for our profession and recognizing the significance of our professional organization.”
As a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School, Caromano’s career goals include teaching Family and Consumer Sciences in a high school and then eventually starting her own party planner/catering business.
“Nicole Caromano is a blessing on Immaculata’s campus. In addition to being an excellent student, Nicole is very active in student life. She is a Resident Assistant, co-president of the Family and Consumer Sciences Club for two years, an IU Ambassador, and an aide in the Writing Center,” commented her academic advisor, Sister Denise Mollica, IHM. “Nicole is a teacher’s dream.”
Caromano plans to attend the PAFCS Annual Conference Awards Luncheon in Pocono Manor, PA, and will have an opportunity to discuss her plans and involvement.
