Sr. Cathy Nally Appointed Director of Campus Ministry

Sister Catherine Ann Nally, IHM, has taken a position as Director of Campus Ministry at Immaculata University.
Sister Cathy has extensive experience in campus ministry and religious education. Prior to joining Immaculata, Sister Cathy was Campus Minister at Alvernia College in Reading from 2002 to 2004. From 1995 to 2002, she was Campus Minister at Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA, outside of Harrisburg. She also worked at Camilla Hall Infirmary and taught at Holy Name High School in Reading.
Sister Cathy has spent a great deal of time working at schools abroad. She was the elementary school principal at Villa Maria High School in Chile from 1986 to 1990 and taught in elementary schools and high schools in the United States, Chile, and Peru from 1970 to 1985.
She received her B.A. in Theology from Immaculata University in 1975. In 2002, she received her M.S. in Religious Education from Fordham University. She is a member of the Catholic Campus Ministers Association (CCMA) and has served on the Executive Board of Pennsylvania Catholic Campus Ministers (PCCMA).
At Immaculata, the Campus Ministry Committee hopes to focus this year on the dimensions of Spirituality and formation of the Faith Community. Some new campus ministry events include:
• LEAP (Leaders Experiential Adventure Program) – a three-day Awakening Retreat
• Freshman Retreat – focuses on first year students and their changing relationships
• CM 3D – (Dollar Does Dinner) – students share a homecooked meal and socialize for $1
• "30 Days with the Saints" program – an opportunity to enrich prayer life with a spiritual teacher
Immaculata University, a Catholic liberal arts institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
