Immaculata University is proud to announce that a Memorandum of Understanding with Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School will provide four annual renewable scholarships worth $10,000 per student per academic year totaling $40,000. This opportunity is open to all Cristo Rey graduates who apply, qualify, and are accepted to Immaculata University.
Cristo Rey High School is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school for students of all faiths who cannot otherwise afford a private education. The mission of Cristo Rey, to nurture and challenge young women and men to recognize and realize their full potential as they grow to love God, respect others and serve their community, is aligned with Immaculata’s mission of contributing to the development of the whole person of any faith and affirms liberal education as an integrative process in the formation of a truly educated person who is value-oriented and committed to truth, service, justice, and peace.
“This upcoming June will be Cristo Rey High School’s first graduation class in Philadelphia,” noted Gerald Wargo, Jr., vice president for Enrollment Management at Immaculata. “The students that further their education at Immaculata will have the opportunity to be a part of the Class of 2020 that will celebrate Immaculata’s 100th anniversary.”
