Sarah Reed Receives Presidential Scholarship
Immaculata University is pleased to announce that incoming freshman Sarah Reed has been selected for the Presidential Scholarship. Reed resides in Rockaway, NJ, and graduated from Boonton High School in Boonton, NJ.
Noting that Immaculata University was already her top choice for college, Reed was extremely honored when she was selected to interview for the Presidential Scholarship. “When I found out that I had actually received the scholarship, my family was so proud of me and I was very proud of myself too. It was nice to see the hard work finally paying off,” she states.
The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to a select number of students with a record of academic excellence. Students are evaluated on the bases of GPA (students must maintain a 3.25 GPA), class rigor, standardized test scores, class rank, and recommendations.
As a member of the Math Club and the Biology Club at her high school, Reed also served as the captain of the softball and tennis teams and enjoyed supporting the other sports teams as well. Majoring in Criminology at Immaculata, Reed’s goal is to work for the FBI as a criminal profiler.
Immaculata University is a comprehensive, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
