Phyllis Bellopede Rejoins IU Board of Trustees
Immaculata University is pleased to announce that alumna Phyllis Bellopede ’82, of West Chester, PA was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees for Immaculata University. She will serve a three-year term.
“As an alumna, I appreciate how special Immaculata University is and I am dedicated to the continuation of its success through my work on the Board of Trustees,” stated Bellopede.
In 1983, Bellopede founded ETC Office systems Services, Inc., where she serves as president of the company that provides training and staffing to major and mid-size companies. During this time Bellopede was a consultant/trainer for Lee-Hecht-Harrison, an international outplacement management firm, for 10 years.
As an active member of the business community, Bellopede shares her leadership skills by serving on numerous boards including 18 years on the Board of Trustees for Immaculata University leading a successful campaign for $11 million and serving as vice chair of the Board in addition to chairing several committees. In 1997, she was the recipient of the prestigious Immaculata Amethyst Award. Bellopede is also a member of the Board of Trustees for West Catholic Preparatory High School for the past three years and will serve on their Catholic Identity and Mission Committee. In 2003, she was inducted into the West Catholic High School Hall of Fame.
Bellopede is a founding member of “Solutions Now,” an organization of the University of Pennsylvania which provides solutions for regional problems and develops awareness of community issues. She served as committeewoman for Upper Providence for three years and Judge of Elections for Upper Providence Township for ten years. Throughout her career, she had been active in several chambers of commerce including Philadelphia, Mainline, Delaware, and Chester County and served on the Board of Directors for the Great Valley Chamber for five years where she was the recipient of the Business Woman of the Year Award. She also earned a Congressional Award for Job Creation and Placement from the Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Bellopede is a member of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Media, PA.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Immaculata University, Bellopede continued her education earning a Master of Science degree in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.
