Immaculata University will honor Peggy Behm ’81 of Rockland, DE, with the Amethyst Award at the 2014 Awards Gala held on Saturday, October 4, at 5:00 p.m. at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve in Phoenixville, PA.
The Amethyst Award is presented to an alumnus in recognition of his/her outstanding contributions to or achievement in a church, community, or professional activity. This recipient supports and exemplifies the goals and ideals, and demonstrates the values of an Immaculata University education.

In 2008, Behm left the world of banking to become a business development consultant and is now a principal at the Rockland Mills Group.
A champion of women and girls, Behm was appointed by Governor Carper to the Commission for Delaware Women. Behm also served as president of Wilmington Women in Business, a member of the Executive Council for the Agenda for Delaware Women, board member of Chesapeake Bay Girl Scouts, board president of Padua Academy, and oversaw the establishment of a scholarship foundation for women returning to the classroom. During this time, her commitment to Immaculata has remained steadfast. She has served in numerous volunteer capacities, most recently as chair of the Selection Committee for the new chair of the Board of Trustees. Behm is a current member of the Board of Trustees.
