Immaculata University ended its three-year Pioneers for the Future Capital Campaign, surpassing its goal of $11 million. Campaign Chair and member of the Board of Trustees, Phyllis Bellopede, ´82, commented on the success of the campaign, "We are grateful for everyone who helped make the Pioneers for the Future Campaign a success. Many challenges were encountered on the way to successfully reaching the campaign goals, but the Immaculata pioneer spirit prevailed."
The capital campaign helped to underwrite $3.5 million of the cost of renovations, $5 million for endowment, $1.5 million for the Annual Appeal, and another $1 million for restricted campus improvements. Some of the renovation projects completed during the campaign included adding handicap accessible elevators and air conditioning in main buildings, creating a new student union, centralizing departments and services, and upgrading the dining facilities, among many other improvements.
Immaculata University has undertaken several successful capital campaigns in its 82 year history with the most recent being the campaign to build Gabriele Library, which was a $7 million campaign.
