On Sunday, October 20, the Italian Culture Series of Immaculata University and Il Circolo Italiano of the Main Line present 4 Hands Piano, which is a unique art that began in the eighteenth century, with performers Carla Papini and Domenica Brunetta. Also performing in this program will be lyric soprano Cori Scotti accompanied by Sheri Segal-Melcher, pianist. The concert will begin at 3:00 p.m. in Alumnae Hall on the campus of Immaculata.

The program will consist of the music of Schubert (Variations op. 10 on a French song and Fantasia in F minor, op. 103), Clementi (Sonate in E flat Maj), Cassella (Pupazzetti – 1915), Donizetti (Larghetto and Polacca) and Respighi (Six Pieces – 1926). 4 Hands Piano, is currently touring the United States from the Piemonte Region of Italy, and has performed for more than 20 years. Throughout their career, their blended styles and grace displayed while sharing one piano has captured the attention of many enthusiasts worldwide.

Cori Scotti, who is an Immaculata University alumna from the class of 1997, has performed throughout the United States and abroad. Ms. Scotti and Ms. Segal-Melcher will perform excerpts from Ch´il Bel Sogno, Danny Boy, Always, and Time to Say Goodbye.

The Italian Culture Series is now in its 19th year of presenting programs in art, music, literature, folklore, drama, and history/politics. Immaculata University hosts two such events each year. The Italian Culture Series´ events for this year are all part of a series of special programs Immaculata University is hosting to celebrate university status that was granted to Immaculata this past summer. A program on Niccolo Machiavello is scheduled for Spring 2003.
