New Director of Corporate, Foundation and Government Relations
Immaculata University is pleased to announce that Malvern, PA, resident Laura E. Chisholm has joined the staff of University Advancement as director of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations. In this capacity, Chisholm will research and write grants, develop corporate relationships and serve as liaison between Immaculata and government entities.
“I am thrilled to join Immaculata University,” stated Chisholm. “There is a deep-rooted dedication to student success here, which emanates from the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.”
Prior to her Immaculata appointment, Chisholm served as a grants compliance officer at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA, where she was also an adjunct faculty member in the Geography Department. Additionally, for the past six year, she has worked for the University of Pennsylvania as an external evaluator for the National Resource Centers. In 2001, Chisholm began her professional career as an internal consultant at JPMorgan Chase in Newark, DE before serving as the program coordinator for the Individual Development Account Program of the Refugee Resettlement Office in Seattle, Washington.
A native of Carlisle, PA, Chisholm attended Carlisle High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore and then continued her education receiving a master’s degree in urban studies from Temple University in Philadelphia. She spent one undergraduate semester in Bangkok at Assumption University of Thailand, studying the Thai language, politics, and culture.
Chisholm has received numerous awards throughout her career including the JPMorgan Chase Location Diversity Award, the Loyola College Persona Curis Award, and a Puget Sound Grantwriter’s Association Conference Grant.
