New Director of Allied Health/Health Care Management
Anne Marie McCauley, DHEd, R.N., of Lancaster, PA, has been named Director of the Allied Health/Health Care Management programs for Immaculata University. In this capacity, she will oversee programs including the Bachelor of Science in Allied Health with a concentration in a clinical specialty; clinical professional track; or pre-pharmacy, and also degrees leading to a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management.
Prior to arriving at Immaculata, McCauley served for seven years as the Health Occupations instructor for Chester County Technical College High School where she taught Health Occupations, Medical Assisting, Certified Nursing Assisting and CPR courses and served as regional advisor and board member for Pennsylvania State HOSA Organization. HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division of ACTE. In honor of her dedication to her field, McCauley received 2012 “Instructor of the Quarter” recognition from Chester County Technical College High School.
McCauley also was an instructor at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, most recently as primary RN instructor for the Medical Assistant program. McCauley then served as coordinator for Allied Health/Medical Assisting Programs for Harford Community College in Bel Air, MD.
Earning her RN license from York Hospital School of Nursing, McCauley continued her education receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management from Lebanon Valley College and a Master of Science degree in Workforce Education in Development from Penn State University. She has recently completed her doctoral degree requirements in Health Education at A. T. Still University.
“I am looking forward to working with the Allied Health and Health Care Management students as they change their direction from students to medical professionals,” commented McCauley on her appointment at Immaculata University.
