New Choral Director
The Music Department of Immaculata University is pleased to announce that West Chester, PA, resident Jonathan Kreamer joins the University as the new director of Choral Activities beginning August 2015. His duties will include directing the large and small choral ensembles, which are open to all Immaculata students.
With his extensive musical experience, Kreamer has prepared choirs and conducted performances of numerous major choral works including Cantata no. 80 of Bach, Handel’s Messiah, the Vivaldi Gloria, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, the Chichester Psalms of Leonard Bernstein, and Carmina Burana of Carl Orff. In addition to serving as Immaculata’s new Choral director, Kreamer is currently the choral director at Peirce Middle School of the West Chester Area School District. There, he has been director of all school theatrical productions. His select ensembles have been awarded first place and superior ratings at competitions and festivals for the past six years. He is also artistic director of The Brandywine Singers, director of music ministries at Paoli Presbyterian Church, and music director of the Ocean City Theatre Company in Ocean City, New Jersey.
Kreamer received a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from West Chester University.
