IU Welcomes Lansdale Resident as Sports Information Director

Bob Macartney, of Lansdale, PA, has been named Immaculata University´s sports information director and assistant director of athletics.
Starting his career at Cabrini College as media relations coordinator, Bob moved into the role of sports information coordinator at Cabrini in 1998. During his career, he also served as sports information director for the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) and as a sports writer for The Sports Network.
In 1995, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in English/Communication from Cabrini College. To keep current in his profession, Bob is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America and the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Sports Information Directors Association and the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Softball Tournament Selection Committee (2003-2005). He also served on the Selection Committee for Cabrini College Athletic Hall of Fame.
"I am very excited to join the athletic department at Immaculata. I look forward to building upon the existing tradition of athletic success started by the Mighty Macs years ago," comments Bob on his new position at Immaculata University.
Immaculata University is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Immaculata University has 12 varsity teams, which include the four new sports teams (men´s soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf for men and women).
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
