IU Partners with Parkhurst Dining
Immaculata University of Immaculata, PA, a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education sponsored by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, will offer its students, faculty, staff, and guests an authentic dining experience with made-from-scratch food through a new partnership with Parkhurst Dining, a family-owned business headquartered in Homestead, PA.
Immaculata selected Parkhurst based on its award-winning food service management and a commitment to high-quality through its company’s Culinary Gold Standards which ensure the best flavors, nutrients, and freshness in their cooking at private colleges and universities.
“In our search for a dining services provider, we were looking for a student-focused food service partner that values quality, personalized guest services and professional catering experience,” said Jennifer Sauer, vice president for Finance and Administration at Immaculata University.
The Nazareth Dining Hall will feature a creative and culturally diverse mix of nutritionally balanced meals daily. Students can select from whole grains, grilled proteins, vegan, a fresh salad bar, as well as healthier snack options. Unique dining promotions including chef challenges, wellness and nutrition activities will also inspire our guests to get involved and learn to eat better and live healthier!
Menu items are naturally flavorful… using local agriculture sourced from FarmSourceTM, Parkhurst’s sustainable sourcing program. Through FarmSourceTM, Parkhurst works with more than 250 local family-owned farms and producers within a 150-mile radius of its locations.
“With everything from comfort foods, culturally diverse selections, to on the go!, students will experience a variety of healthier, innovative and progressive dining and catering options that provide excellent food service to Immaculata University’s campus community,” said Bill Albright, Parkhurst vice president of higher education dining.
