IU Announces Erin Ebersole as New Director of Institutional Research
Wyomissing, PA, resident Erin R. Ebersole is joining the staff of Immaculata University as Director of Institutional Research. The focus of this position is to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to utilize data and enhance the assessment process.
As the first director of Institutional Research at Alvernia College, Ms. Ebersole spent five years developing an institutional effectiveness program. While at Alvernia, she also served as an adjunct instructor for the Honors Program and the Freshmen Foundation Program and taught courses in the Psychology Department. During her early career as an activities therapist at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center for three years, Ms. Ebersole concurrently completed her graduate internship at Brandywine Behavioral Center at Coatesville Hospital.
In 1999, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Alvernia College. She continued her education, receiving a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University. To keep current on trends and developments in her professional field, Ms. Ebersole retains memberships in the following associations: the Association of Institutional Research, the Northeastern Association of Institutional Research, the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania, the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Teaching of Psychology, the Catholic Higher Education Research Consortium, and the Association of American Colleges and Universities.
Throughout her career, she has been invited to conduct several presentations throughout the United States. In February 2006, she published an article on "Assessing Mission at a Religious Based Institution â€“ Challenge and Response" in the Spirituality in Higher Education newsletter. She has extensive experience serving on various campus committees including Alvernia´s Strategic Planning Committee, Assessment Committee, Middle States Self-Study Team, and the campus campaign coordinator for the United Way.
