Irish Studies Program Presents Poetry Reading
A poetry reading featuring poet and editor Peter Fallon is the fall offering of the Irish Studies Program at Immaculata University. The reading is scheduled for Monday, November 7, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. in Room 127 Loyola Hall on the university´s campus.
Mr. Fallon is no stranger to southeastern Pennsylvania. He has been a frequent visitor to Immaculata and was the inaugural Heimbold professor of Irish Studies at Villanova University. His most recent book of poetry, The Company of Horses, was published in 2007. He has also produced a poetic translation, The Georgics of Virgil. Both works showcase his vigorous love of nature and his insights into human relationships.
Sheep farmer, poet and editor of the Gallery Press in County Meath, Peter Fallon charms his audiences with his poetry and his personality.
