Immaculata University Recognizes Alumna and Trustee Bernadette Maguire of Philadelphia
At the annual Immaculata University´s President´s Luncheon, alumna Bernadette Maguire ´57, was recognized for her generous financial support of her alma mater over the years. Bernadette was inducted into The 1920 Society â€“ with the distinction of Visionary. The 1920 Society honors alumni, parents, and friends who have given significant gifts to the University.
As a student at Immaculata University, Bernadette received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and continued her education earning a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Since her graduation, she has supported virtually all of the major fundraising initiatives for Immaculata including her current position as chair of the Capital Campaign. For almost a decade, Bernadette has served as a member of the Board of Trustees, including three years as co-chair of the Board and had previously served as co-chair of the President´s Council. In addition, she was co-chair of the Immaculata Golf Invitational and currently is a member of the Immaculata Golf Committee. Bernadette also provided financial support for the construction of the Physics Lab and the creation of a new Chemistry Lab in the late 1990s. She is also generous with her time and support for various campus events.
Immaculata University is appreciative to all financial supporters. Most students receive some form of Financial Aid when enrolling as a student at Immaculata University and donations often help these students receive an education that they may not be able to afford without financial assistance. In addition, Immaculata University has future growth plans that generous supporters, like Bernadette, have continued to make a reality.
Immaculata University, a Catholic coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
