Immaculata University Presents Recurring Workshop on Music for Everyone
The College of Graduate Studies at Immaculata University will offer a three-day workshop entitled Circles of Healing: Music for Everyone IX, on Friday, February 10, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, February 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Villa Maria Hall on the university´s campus. David Darling and his Music for People Company will conduct the workshop.
The music of the people is a statement of the heart. During the workshop, participants will sing, play, and improvise within the context of our times. However this is done, music unifies, builds strengths, encourages vision, and ultimately redirects one´s life. This Circle of Healing will acknowledge the "music of the person" and through performance and self-expression, bring about the ideal.
Introduced during the inception of the graduate certificate in expressive arts, the Circles of Healing series presents initiative for study, experiential work, and practice in music, visual arts, dance, movement, and drama.
This one-credit class may only be taken as a graduate level course for $460 or it may be taken as a non-credit workshop for $250. For more information contact the College of Graduate Studies at 610-647-4400, ext. 3211.
