Immaculata University Presents 5th Annual Edith Stein Lecture Series
On Wednesday, September 30, Immaculata University´s Philosophy and Theology departments present the 5th Annual Edith Stein Lecture Series with guest speaker George Weigel. The series deals with faith and reason, presented through the teachings of Edith Stein, St. Teresia Benedicta of the Cross, OCD. The topic of discussion is "John Paul II and Edith Stein: Truth and Consequences."
An esteemed author and editor of nineteen books, George Weigel, a Distinguished Senior Fellow of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, is a Roman Catholic theologian and one of America´s leading commentators on issues of religion and public life. In addition to many other publications and scholarly work, Mr. Weigel prepared a major study of the life, thought, and action of Pope John Paul II which was subsequently made into an award winning documentary film.
