Immaculata University Hosts Stomp Out Hunger 5K Run/Walk
Immaculata University will host its annual Stomp Out Hunger 5K Run/1 Mile Walk on Friday, November 11 at 5 p.m. Participants are asked to bring a canned food donation, and they may also bring $5 if they would like a T-shirt. Registration begins at 4 p.m. in front of Alumnae Hall.
All proceeds will benefit the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Nutritional Development Services, which provides meals, food assistance and additional support to organizations serving children and the poor. Donations from those not participating will also be accepted.
At 4:30 p.m., children are invited to participate in a 200 meter run, with prizes available for best runners by age group and for the most creatively dressed.
This Stomp Out Hunger event is sponsored by Immaculata´s Student Dietetic Association, Student Health Services, Residence Life and Housing, and Athletics. Chester County Running Store, LCC Horticultural Services, and Hoey Investments Inc. are also sponsoring the event.
Immaculata University is a residential, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
