Immaculata University Appoints Linda S. Crawshaw Assistant Professor in the Graduate Nutrition Department

The College of Graduate Studies of Immaculata University announces the appointment of Denver, PA, resident Linda Crawshaw, Ph.D., as assistant professor for the Nutrition Education Department.
Before coming to Immaculata, Dr. Crawshaw was an adjunct faculty member and assistant/associate professor at Kutztown University where she began her teaching career. She held various positions during her early career at Kutztown during the 1990s. For two years, she served as assistant professor in the Department of Dietetics and Sports Nutrition at Mansfield University. She also worked for three years, 2003-2006, as a clinical dietitian for long-term and acute care patients with the Sodexho Company medical facilities in Allentown, Easton, and Reading, all in PA.
A native of Muncy, PA, Dr. Crawshaw earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Physical Education K-12, from Lock Haven University. Continuing her education, she completed her Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona and then received her doctoral degree in Physical Education Pedagogy/Administration from Ohio State University. She completed her dietary internship at Mount Carmel College of Nursing in Columbus, OH. She is a registered dietitian.
To keep current in her chosen field, Dr. Crawshaw retains memberships in professional organizations including the American Dietetic Association and the Central Pennsylvania Dietetic Association where she is currently the president. She has also given presentations on various nutrition-related topics.
Upon accepting the position at Immaculata University, Dr. Crawshaw commented that, "It is a privilege to be a part of the Immaculata University community. I will work hard to continue the academic excellence that is a tradition here at IU."
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
