Immaculata University Announces December Workshops
Immaculata University will offer on-campus undergraduate workshops for personal and professional development during the month of December.
BEYOND GOOGLE: EFFECTIVE RESEARCH SKILLS. Designed for students majoring in business or a social science, this course focuses on identifying the information needed, acquiring and evaluating information resources, using information effectively, and relating information to societal issues. Students should come with a research topic to the first class. Linda Rossi will instruct this class on Saturdays, December 3 and 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $335 for one credit or $160 for non-credit.
CAREER CHOICES FOR ADULTS IN TRANSITION. If you are considering a career change, have been displaced from your current job, are reentering the workforce after an extended leave, or are dissatisfied in your current position, this workshop will assist you in considering your options. The course explores career decision making models and personality theory as it relates to career choice. Psychological techniques for managing change throughout the lifespan and commonly used career clarification assessments will be presented. Krista Cantrell-Brennan will instruct this class on Saturdays, December 3 and 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $335 for one credit or $160 for non-credit.
