Immaculata Hosts Amethyst Night in the French Quarter

The Immaculata University Alumnae/i Association is sponsoring a community event Amethyst Night in the French Quarter on Saturday, October 16, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. in the Great Hall on the campus of Immaculata.
The event includes a live and silent auction, cocktail reception, a dinner buffet by Queen of Hearts Catering, and music and dancing in the spirit of the New Orleans´ French Quarter. Providing entertainment is The Imbrassadors, the principal brass section of the Immaculata Symphony, in addition to a DJ. A raffle for cash prizes will be available.
Sam Katz will serve as auctioneer. Mr. Katz is a financial entrepreneur, businessman, and civic leader and presently serves on the Board of Directors of GCOM2 Solutions, Inc., the Biotechnology Greenhouse of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the University City Science Center, City Year, and the National Museum of American Jewish History. Mr. Katz is best known for his campaigns for public office. In 1991 he ran in the Republican primary for Mayor of Philadelphia and in 1994 he ran in the Republican primary for Governor. In 1999 and 2003, he was the Republican candidate for Major of Philadelphia.
