Hear Live Jazz Featuring the “Father John” D’Amico Trio at Immaculata

Immaculata University presents a live jazz concert, "Hearing the Heart of Jazz," featuring The "Father John" D´Amico Trio on Friday, March 27, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall, in Villa Maria Hall on the University´s campus. The concert is open to the public, free of charge; donations are accepted.
John D´Amico is one of the most outstanding jazz pianists in the Delaware Valley. Since the age of six, he has played classical piano and since the age of seventeen he has played jazz. In 1989, Father John received the John Coltrane Award for outstanding achievement in jazz. He performs, composes, records, and lectures on the topic of jazz forms. He is a consummate musician and composer whose style contains elements of Count Basie, Bill Evans, and early Keith Jarret.
"Father John" has been performing the concert at Immaculata for many years and will also present a lecture on Hearing the Heart of Jazz on Saturday, March 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Anyone wishing further information on the concert or the lecture may call 610-647-4400, ext. 3211.
