Francien Chenoweth Dorliae Joins Faculty of Psychology Department at Immaculata University

The College of Graduate Studies at Immaculata University named Swedesboro, NJ, resident Francien Chenoweth Dorliae as assistant professor of psychology. While employed at LaSalle University and Immaculata University as an adjunct professor, she taught master´s students, organized class materials and discussions, and focused on assessing culturally diverse clients. She also taught a Multicultural Counseling class over the summer of 2004 at Immaculata University.
Dr. Dorliae was employed by Community Treatment Solutions where she developed individual treatment plans, provided family and individual therapy to economically disadvantaged children, and adolescents, and collaborated with all members of the treatment team to direct clients´ treatments. She has also worked at Friends Hospital where she evaluated acute psychiatric patients for admission, worked with psychiatrists, nurses and social workers to develop mental health treatment for the patients, communicated with managed care companies for admission and payment approval for the patients. Throughout her career she has worked at many different clinics and centers for mental health including Friends Hospital, Northeast Community Center for Mental Health and Mental Retardation, Girard Medical Center, FMA Professional Resources, and Philadelphia Center for Human Development. She also completed an internship at the United Nations (UN) in New York City, where she reviewed Human Rights status of countries seeking endorsement from the UN.
Dr. Dorliae received her B.A. in political science, her B.S. in psychology and her M.A. in political science from East Stroudsburg University. At Immaculata University, Dr. Dorliae earned her M.A. in counseling psychology and her Psy. D.

Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of route 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
