First-Year Experience Trip for All New Students

FYE Service Trip

FYE Service Trip

The entire Immaculata University class of 2018 is participating in a community service project for the First-year Experience (FYE) program on Saturday, August 23.  Nine local Catholic grade schools located within the City of Philadelphia will be the beneficiaries of this all-day volunteer project that has been at the crux of Immaculata’s Welcome Weekend and the FYE.

This year, the service trip complements the students’ Common Reader, Start Something that Matters by Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS shoes.  In his book, Mycoskie tells the story of TOMS, one of the fastest-growing shoe companies in the world, and combines it with lessons learned from many other innovative organizations.  Mycoskie presents the six simple keys for creating or transforming your own life and business, from discovering your core story to being resourceful without resources; from overcoming fear and doubt to incorporating giving into every aspect of your life.
