Dr. David W. Brennan Joins Faculty of Immaculata University
Immaculata University announces that David W. Brennan, Ed.D., has joined the faculty of Immaculata University as assistant professor of education. He will be instructing undergraduate and graduate level students.
For nearly 30 years, Dr. Brennan worked as teacher, department chair, assistant principal, and principal for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia´s Office of Catholic Education. Dr. Brennan served on several committees that oversaw a variety of events including the annual Cardinal´s Christmas Party for the Children, the annual Celebration of the Arts, bi-annual Pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine, the Sports and Spirituality Initiative, and served as master of ceremonies for the Jubilee/Millennium Year celebration. As a member of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Executive Committee, Dr. Brennan has been involved in several Ordinations, including the Ordination of His Eminence Cardinal Justin Francis Rigali in 2003.
In addition to this position, he also served as an adjunct faculty member at Neumann College and Delaware County Community College. Throughout his lengthy career in education, he served as principal of Saint Pius X High School, and assistant principal for student affairs at Archbishop John Carroll High School, and director of development/external affairs at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.
A graduate of Saint Joseph University, he received both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Professional Education. In 2003, he earned his Doctor of Education from Immaculata University.
In 2003, Dr. Brennan received the Patriot Award, from Archbishop John Carroll High School. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recognized him with the Achievement Plus Award in 1998.
"I truly believe that as educators we must strive to engage students in whatever subject we teach, so they can discover genuine meaning and virtue in their academic experience. This is my goal at Immaculata University," comments Dr. Brennan.
He lives with his family in Douglassville, PA.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
