As part of its ongoing personal and professional workshop series, Immaculata University is offering a workshop on Views of Ballet on December 11 and 12. The instructor for this class is Pamela Devenney.
This introduction to the world of ballet explores the historical, technical, and artistic aspects of the ballet with an emphasis on Tchaikovsky´s The Nutcracker. Students experience a classical ballet production from the technical aspects of rehearsals backstage to the culminating performance of The Nutcracker by the Brandywine Ballet Company. This class takes place on Saturday, December 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The class will leave at 2:00 p.m. for a rehearsal/performance in West Chester. The class continues on Sunday, December 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $320 for one credit or $160 if taken as a non-credit workshop.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
