Circles of Healing: Blending the Lyrical and Musical
IMMACULATA UNIVERSITY PRESENTS WORKSHOP ON
BLENDING THE LYRICAL WITH THE MUSICAL
The College of Graduate Studies at Immaculata University will offer a two-day workshop entitled Circles of Healing: Blending the Lyrical and the Musical on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 11-13, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in Villa Maria Hall´s Memorial Hall. Joseph F. Reilly, MA, MT-BC, will instruct this class.
Communication through words and music is essential in the psychodynamic area of client-centered therapy and/or education. This topic will give an overview of the process of creating song material to fit individual needs. Participants will be meaningfully involved throughout the session with a wide array of musical instruments, sounds, and mixes in creating songs and scripts.
Introduced during the inception of the graduate certificate in expressive arts, the Circles of Healing series presents initiative for study, experiential work, and practice in music, visual arts, dance, movement, and drama.
