Chasity Brown Joins Immaculata Faculty
Immaculata University announces that Chasity Brown of Coatesville, PA, has joined the faculty of the Health Sciences and Services Department as associate professor where she will instruct undergraduate students.
For the past four years, Brown has served as director of Wellness for Tel Hai Retirement Community where she oversaw the daily operation of the wellness department for 400 residents. In addition, she has also been an adjunct faculty member for Immaculata since 2008. Beginning her professional career as director of Wellness and Adult Sports for the YMCA in Easton, PA, she continued her career at various YMCA locations including four years as Health and Wellness director for the Brandywine YMCA.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with an Exercise Physiology concentration, Brown pursued a Master of Science in Sports Management and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health. She is a certified American Red Cross CPR/AED/Oxygen instructor; and is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and kickboxing instructor. Brown is also a YMCA Organizational Leader.
“I am honored and excited to join the university as an associate professor,” stated Brown. “I’m looking forward to bringing my hands-on experiences to the classroom.”
