Catherine Mattingly is New Associate Dean of Students
Lansdale, PA, resident Catherine M. Mattingly joins the staff of Student Development and Engagement at Immaculata University as associate dean of students. In this role, she will oversee the Office of Student Involvement and the Office of Residence Life and Housing.
“I am very appreciative of the opportunity to serve the students at Immaculata in this capacity. The SD&E team is a talented group of professionals, and I am excited to collaborate with them as we move forward,” commented Mattingly on her new position at Immaculata.
Coming from Arcadia University as assistant dean of students for Residence and Commuter Life, Mattingly began working at Arcadia in 2003 and served in a variety of administrative positions within the Residence Life area. She began her professional higher education career at St. Vincent College as residence hall director. Prior to that, she was a high school History teacher.
As a graduate of Arcadia with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Mattingly continued her education earning a Master of Arts in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. To keep current in her profession, Mattingly has been a member in several professional organizations including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and the Association of College Personnel Administrators (ACPA). Holding numerous leadership roles during her career at Arcadia, she has also been an advisory board member for the Center for Women of NASPA; chair of the visiting team assessing student activities at DeSales University; leader for Transfer Italia Preview in Rome, Italy; and leader of Community Service for Alternative Spring Break in Pierre LaFitte, LA, to name a few of her professional memberships and activities.
