Caroline Duffy Hired as Assistant Director of Campus Ministry
Immaculata University announces the appointment of Pottstown, PA, resident Caroline Duffy as assistant director of campus ministry. Ms. Duffy also serves as assistant women´s basketball coach.
Most recently, Ms. Duffy was a theology teacher at Villa Maria Academy High School for three years and served in that same capacity at Bishop O´Connell High School in Arlington, VA. She was a graduate student intern in the Campus Ministry Office of George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. In 1997, she spent one year as a lay mission volunteer in Parroquia San Francisco de Asis, Dominican Republic. Ms. Duffy began her career teaching in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Her love for the game of basketball led her to coaching the JV Girls Basketball team at St. Maria Goretti High School from 1995 -1997. Immaculata University hired Ms. Duffy to serve as assistant women´s basketball coach from 1993 to 1995. She came back to Immaculata in 2002 to serve in that same position.
Ms. Duffy earned a BA in History/International Studies at Immaculata University and was a Finnegan Fellow in 1992. She continued her studies at the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Washington, DC, earning a Master of Theological Studies. She graduated Magna Cum Laude.
In 2000, she received the Pacem in Terris Excellence in Service Award. She served one term on the Immaculata Alumnae Board of Governors in 1996-1997 and returned in 2004 to the Board as the Social Action Chair.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of route 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
