Immaculata University announces that its Athletic Training major has been awarded accreditation for the program by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). In May of 2014, Immaculata graduated its first class of Athletic Training majors which precedes the accreditation process.

Students enrolled in Immaculata’s Athletic Training program combine scientific inquiry, theoretical knowledge, and clinical practice to train students in evidence-based practices to prevent, diagnose, and treat neuromuscular conditions in physically active individuals.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for athletic trainers is expected to increase significantly over the next decade. Athletic trainers are in demand in various settings including: schools, professional sports, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, performing arts, and the military.
